We are pleased to share images from one of our recent projects.
Show Stoppers was asked to create an African themed celebration
for 200 guests. Our clients, having spent many years in South Africa,
wanted the party to unfold inside a traditional reed boma; an enclosure
usually built at the end of a day on Safari to protect against wild
animals. Everything African was the rule. Authentic African art,
South African cuisine, wines, exotic flowers, cultural music and
animal prints were mandatory. Images from custom invitations were
used as a motif for a spectacular cake that featured Amarula, a
fruit favored by the Elephants.
Guests entered the home through the jungle courtyard complete with
animal sounds before greeting the hosts. Moving outdoors to the
backyard Serengeti for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, the guests
were entertained by African music with clanging percussion and drums.
A “wild” gorilla emerged to announce dinner to the surprised
couple with a gift of bananas. The leopard print gates to the boma
were pulled aside as guests followed their hosts in for dinner and
an amazing evening.
