The event began with a champagne reception on the pool deck.  Show Stoppers draped the ceremony area with one of our draping packages, so wedding coordinators could see what could be done to transform the space into a beautiful ceremony site.  We got rave reviews and have already had several weddings here.  We also used the space for a beautiful photo shoot with Arizona’s Finest Wedding Sites and Services Magazine that appeared on the cover with a multi-page feature.

Everyone enjoyed the lemonade and petit cones that had been freshly baked and filled with raspberry sorbet.  What a perfectly refreshing goodie for a warm afternoon.

The champagne was served in flutes rimmed with gold sugar.

Everyone enjoyed beautiful harp selections that just seemed to hang on the breeze.

The Ritz Carlton pastry chef showed his talents at hand-painting custom wedding cakes.

Everyone enjoyed meeting and catching up during the champagne hour.

We saw so many good friends and associates.  Hi, Amy!

The menu was made of hand-made paper infused with… what else… tea.  It was specially written so the descriptions of the delicacies sounded more like poetry, as our host Jeffrey Hattick explained.  No wonder we hit it off so well.  Love the rose-folded napkin in the cup!

Ken designed these wonderful floral centerpieces using asparagus for the container.  They sat on absolutely beautiful linens provided by our friend, Carrie Smith from Wildflower Linens.  The colors were perfect.  Everyone was talking about the florals.  They were definitely a hit!

The French ribbon we found for the centerpieces could not have been more perfect.

The end of the runway was draped with mocha-colored fabric and flanked by beautiful floral displays.

We loved the elegance of the room and kept it simple and symmetrical.  Every table was right on the runway, so there was not a bad seat in the house.

We chose apricot, coral, pink and clear green for our color palette.

The popular cake table display was just outside the entry.

Each guest was presented with one of these lovely gift bags that contained assorted gifts, from treats to wonderfully scented candles, spa goodies and special promotions.

Events By Show Stoppers had these gorgeous promotional cards inserted into every gift bag for coordinators and wedding industry VIPs to take.  Special thanks and appreciation go to Sierra Blanco Photography for jumping in at the very last minute and rushing to provide the beautiful images for the cards.

The elegant Mr. Jeffrey Hattrick, tea sommelier at the Ritz – Carlton, Phoenix for the last 13 years, was the debonaire host of this lovely bridal tea party.  He welcomed the guests in his opening monologue, then explained all the fine details of having a formal tea at the Ritz Carlton.  He went on to introduce the bridal salons that put on the  exquisite fashion show.

As the fashion show began, servers literally doted on every guest, pouring tea and paying attention to every detail. The service was incredible.

Jeffrey began the fashion show by introducing the bridal houses that provided stunning gowns.

Splendid gowns from Schaffers Bridal wowed the guests.

Robert Black commentated and answered questions about his fabulous vintage collection.  Many of the gowns were vintage 50′s 60′s and 70′s and brought wild applause from the guests.

Our good friend, Teri Ambrose, publisher of Arizona’s Finest Wedding Sites and Services Magazine, was spotted in the crowd.  Hi Teri!

Ken and I had a lovely time.  Jeffery presented us with a gift of “tea for two” that he will personally host for us at a later date.  Can’t wait!  We really had a blast!  Again, a huge THANK YOU to   Sarah Hagerty Photography for these marvelous images!

We just had to feature these lovely images of Chelsey and Mike’s wedding by Amanda Marie Photography.  The wedding took place at Seven Canyons Golf Club.  The details are charming and were personally styled by Chelsey.

These “sweet ” details were a real treat for Chelsey and Mike’s guests.  Even the smallest details ( like the clothespins on the note ) play a huge roll in making this wedding so special.

The pastel spring colors were used everywhere right down to the vintage Parisian lace ribbon on the bouquet handle.  By the way, this bouquet was exceptionally beautiful.

We love the way Amanda took this picture of Chelsey holding her bouquet behind her.  Mike was so handsome and was beaming the entire night.

The wedding party was the perfect size and had such a special day with Chelsey and Mike.

The atmosphere was relaxed and fun-filled but, still productive and informative.

Waves of brides came through all day long.

Brides just loved getting valuable advice and information from Sedona Wedding Studio members.

Inside the SWS showroom, brides were loving the eye candy and getting tons of ideas.

The SWS showroom was busy all day.

Brides couldn’t get enough.  There was so much to see, learn and do inside the showroom.

Table-top designs were everywhere in different themes and color palettes such as this Moroccan theme.

Vintage was a popular style at the Boot Camp.

Five caterers served great food.

Several musicians played including guitar, harp and flute musicians.

Gorgeous cakes were everywhere including delicious samples.

Hair and make-up trials were provided by four different artists.

Many lucky brides won great prices.

Flagstaff Rocks With the Wedding of The Year

The Rehearsal Dinner and Ceremony at Forest Highlands Golf Club

Michelle and Chris have got to be two of the most fun-loving couples with whom we have ever had the pleasure of working.  From the first day we met them, everything just clicked.   Ordinarily, we are very anxious when brides, their friends or family members attempt the coordination of a wedding this complex but, this was not the case with Michelle.  Talk about organized!  Michelle had several notebooks filled with every detail from photos, magazine clippings, paper and fabric samples, tentative timelines and color swatches.   She knew exactly the look she wanted as well as what she did not want.  It was a breeze planing this wedding because of her attention to detail and, as a result, the wedding came off without a hitch.  There were so many elements that had Michelle’s personal touch that we hardley had to do anything but go along for the ride and enjoy making her vision happen.  She was so generous, flexible and open to our ideas.

We all had such chemistry that we were literally finishing each others sentences when discussing design ideas, options and logistics.  Everyone was so into it.  We would bounce ideas off of  each other and come up with new ones neither of us might have thought of without the other’s inspiration.  It was truly wedding planning as it should be…  collaborative, enjoyable and productive with clear communication, vision and goals.

That’s not to say their was no creative license or last-minute spontaneity.  So many of those all-important details happen at the last minute, just before guests enter.  That’s when the real magic happens and is what Show Stoppers is known for.  Michelle totally got that and was giddy with anticipation the day of the wedding.  Many of those extra details, that have not necessarily been previously discussed, just flow like magic and make the room come alive, especially with the sun setting, candles lit, ambient lighting effects and everything perfectly poised for the guests to enter. Many times Show Stoppers uses flowers placed out of water, which would not be possible if done too early.   Photographers tell us all the time that capturing the room at this magical moment, when it is in it’s final glory just before the guests enter, is what brides want so badly…. to see and, be able to remember the room in its finished state as it actually looked for the guests entering the reception.

The decor was eclectic including shabby-chic elements, vintage and textural details, burlap, lace, old bottles, country elements, cowgirl touches, custom dyed fabrics, unique fabric draping techniques, natural elements, stylish props and colorful flowers everywhere.  It all came together beautifully with family members pitching in, friends giving a hand, professionals from the Sedona Wedding Studio and Forest Highlands Golf Club all working together in concert.  Chrissy Speer, of Forest Highlands, was a jewel to work with.

The rehearsal dinner and ceremony are only part one of this exceptional wedding at Forest Highlands Golf Club.  It was quite a party as you can see.   Michelle and Chris took every measure to insure their guests had the time of their lives throughout the wedding from beginning to end.  There was great entertainment, games for all ages, delicious cuisine, creative details, shuttles, lemonade and candy bars, organization and every comfort and convenience imaginable.  This couple knew how to do it right!  So, we are beginning with part one…  the rehearsal dinner and ceremony.  Your going to love this!
