More and more we are seeing brides choosing themes for their weddings. Such themes are often inspired by the wedding date surrounding the holiday. This Dia de los Muertos wedding coordinated by, Laura Marolakos, Heart of Sedona Weddings, is the perfect example. Show Stoppers is always interested in doing artistic projects that fall somewhere outside the norm. When asked to do this wedding, we were on board from the very beginning.
We just this day discovered these images on the grooms Facebook page while wishing him a happy birthday. We had never seen the images. The October 23, 2010 wedding was in the Village of Oak Creek at the bride’s parent’s home. The private estate had terrific views. The gorgeous, secluded property was the perfect backdrop for a wedding of this nature. We hope you ail enjoy these images by Jody Dominque Studios.
The black and white invitation only hinted that the guests were in for something really different.
When the guests arrived, they were greeted by giant crepe paper flowers that surrounded the fabulous imported front doors. Everyone used this as a photo op to capture great images of each other.
Guests gathered for cocktails before being escorted to poolside for the ceremony.
There were great places for guests to sit and enjoy having cocktails with live music.

Guests only had a few steps to take before they where whisked away to another time and place through the use of lighting and decor.
This cool little print was perfect for a table decoration. Notice the caption that says,” til death do us part.” There were wonderful details like this everywhere at this unusual wedding, all coordinated by Sedona’s planner extraordinaire, Laura Marolakos, of Heart of Sedona Weddings.
