When all of us at The Sedona Wedding Studio leaned that member Katie Draxler was getting married, everyone was a buzz with anticipation at to what the wedding would be like. Katie, the weddings and events director at the popular Sedona Golf Resort, knew exactly what she wanted. She efficiently pulled it all together and we could not have been more pleased. Of course, most of the players were Sedona Wedding Studio vendors but then, Katie wanted the best and she got it. Her wedding was elegant, colorful and tons of fun.
The Sedona Golf Resort never looked better. Katie pulled out all the stops as you will see in these gorgeous photos by Katrina and Andrew of Sedona Bride Photography. Katie chose the popular color palette of purples and greens with touches of blue. Eggplant colored calla lilies, orchids, delphinium, stock and hydrangea were just some of the flower varieties used to create her vision.
Our beautiful June 2nd bride began the day with hair and makeup surrounded by colorful summer flowers.
Katie did a fabulous job selecting the lovely details that coordinated perfectly with the rest of the wedding.

Designer, Ken Heflin from Events By Show Stoppers created a beautiful bouquet with stock, orchids, hyacinth, viburnum and calla lilies. Notice the vintage Parisian lace ribbon on the handle.
The bridesmaids were beautiful in the gowns they selected. The flowers they carried were smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
The views at Sedona Golf Resort are spectacular. Sedona’s famous Cathedral Rock is the backdrop for this lovely image.
With everyone seated, the procession began with this handsome little ring bearer announcing, ” here comes the bride ” as Katie and her bride’s maids prepared to follow.
Katie’s dad gave the her away.
The ceremony began with Sedona’s dynamic landscape as the backdrop.
The ceremony was romantic and touching.
…. Katie and Nick were pronounced man and wife. Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Nick Hastings.
One more kiss before heading to the reception.
On the way, a few more photos were taken of the happy couple.
Guests were greeted with a marvelous display of flowers and candles as the entered the resort for dinner and dancing.
The club was beautiful with panoramic vistas of the surrounding area.
The tables were set with beautiful flowers and candles that coordinated with the large display in the foyer.
Pillar candles, Sawarovski crystal garlands, and mercury glass made the room glow with color and romantic ambiance.
The first image is of a small nosegay with a heart charm attached, used as a detail at the bride’s chair. The unusual topiary cake by Sedona Cake Couture was a hit with the guests.
As the evening progressed, thousands of candles reflected in the windows for a stunning effect.
Everyone toasted the night away……
….. into the wee hours of the morning.
