International Fashion Jewelry Designer, Kendra Scott, Marries in Sedona
When superstar wedding and event planner, Amy Mancuso, asked if we were available to do this wedding, we were totally on board. We knew it would be a great opportunity to do something very special since the bride was the successful International jewelry designer, Kendra Scott. And, needless to say, if Amy Mancuso is at the helm, you know it’s going to be simply incredible!
Today we would like to show you a sneak peek of the decor we produced for this elegant wedding that took place at the fabulous Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona just days ago. Events By Show Stoppers provided the floral, draping and lighting. Deb Beggs, from Classic Party Rentals , provided the gorgeous designer furniture and illuminated cocktail tables.
Being a designer herself, Kendra just had to have one of our signature rose petal carpets. This custom carpet was loosely inspired by the intersecting lines seen in the center portion of the Kendra Scott company logo. No doubt other brides will want this design as well. We thought it turned out beautifully!
The rose petal carpet was designed to come off the end of the aisle and swirl around four glass beakers that held parasols. A small, but elegantly simple, gazebo with garnishes of succulents and orchids provided shade for the couple.
The bridal bouquet was exquisite with white cattleya orchids, peonies and lisianthus.
This pretty design, in a mercury glass compote, was used on the seating assignment table and included polished turbos, succulents, orchids, roses and peonies.
The unusual cocktail table decorations had vertically stacked cane with orchids.
Each of the twelve tables had lavish, over-scaled floral displays. Here we are putting on the last touches just before guests start arriving to assure everything is absolutely perfect. Timing is critical, especially in the summer heat. Floral cannot be set too early or the flowers will be compromised.
It’s all about adding those last minute spontaneous details. That’s when the magic happens! Here we see our wonderful guest designer from Flagstaff, Shawn Foster, putting on those finishing touches. Working closely with Show Stoppers’ designers Ken Heflin and Andres Barron, Shawn amazed all of us with her skill, talent and fun personality. We hope to have her back often.
The finished designs were radiant in the setting sun. Guests were thrilled as they entered the Village Terrace and saw the fantastic floral vision that was about to be part of a fabulous dining experience waiting to unfold.
Now for the best kept secret. The Enchantment ballroom had been completely transformed into a ultra chic club-like experience with elegant fabrics, lighting and designer furniture. Guests had no idea that after their sumptuous dinner they would be led into this vibrant, pulsating environment and treated to a delicious dessert bar, photo booths, cocktails and dancing. It was a fabulous evening!
A custom logo was projected onto the white dance floor.
Draping, with carefully spaced folds, picked up the lighting perfectly. Events By Show Stoppers’ designer, Marla Faye, did an outstanding job meticulously measuring, folding, draping and swagging hundreds of yards of sheer fabrics until the effect was perfect.
Notice how the lighting washes the edge of each horizontal fold, giving richness and depth while remaining transparent so the vertical draping shows from behind. The dessert bar was displayed on the sleek white counter that featured a plexiglas box at each end for elevation.
We loved this last minute detail at the dessert bar. Delicious treats were placed on top of the plexiglass box that included a floral detail of moss, Sedona red rock, succulents and orchids. Here again is where Show Stoppers spontaneous, unplanned details create the magic that makes each wedding so special.
Dessert bar detail.
Draping detail.
Congratulation, Kendra and Matt from all the staff at Show Stoppers!
