In our never ending quest for new and fun things to do, we have decided to reinvent some of our “retired” fabric inventory. The first thing we are doing is creating our own colors and dyeing our inventory of gauze. What a mess… but what interesting colors. Currently, our tastes anyway, are running into the more earthy, subtle colors.
We call them “muddied-up” colors. After the dyeing process, we are tying knots about 4ft up from each end of our 18ft lengths, then ripping the fabric to make cool shredded tassels.. ravels and all.
Not a look for everyone, but for those really adventuresome clients, this will be edgy and artistic.

I viewed this fun draping style at a wedding recently and it tied in beautifully with the all the autumn flowers and decor. The effect brought a wonderful warmth to the reception room!
