Great Gatsby…. was this an awesome party to plan! There is no other way to produce a Great Gatsby themed event except to jump in with both feet and go all the way. After all, the very nature of a Gatsby theme is over-the-top. Well, this party was no exception. From cigar girls to signature drinks to custom wrapped tent poles, it was all there.
As guests arrived, the women had a great little party favor waiting for them. Our flapper-costumed cigar girl doubled as a corsage girl and passed out lovely gardenia corsages to all the women. After dinner, the men had a treat waiting for them, too.
We had another tray ready to go.
An art-deco, black, gold and white color palette was used throughout from the initial invitations to the stunning custom dance floor.
The centerpieces were made in tall, black cylinders that were filled with masses of white Dendrobium orchid sprays. Black ostrich feathers were added coming out the top. Swarovski crystal and pearl garlands criss-crossed down the side of the vase.
A stunning organic balloon installation, by Tremaine Events, delighted guests as they dined. Over 3000 gold and white balloons in various sizes wound their way around the clear topped tent. The tent poles were covered with gold lame with black ribbon stripes. Show Stoppers had pre-cut the fabric to fit exactly over the poles. The chair backs were decorated with pearl garlands and gold bugle-bead tassels.
Creations In Cuisine created the delicious menu for the evening. The menus were printed by Studio Grace to coordinate with the rest of the graphics. They were slipped into a napkin with a pocket fold that sat on each place setting.
The dessert table was gorgeous with large matching fluted vases that were filled with jet black ostrich feathers that gently swayed in the breeze. Sparkling Swarovski crystals and pearls hung done the sides.
Each delicacy was tagged with a coordinating art decor card.
Custom orchestra stands were made for each musician to sit behind. Behind the stage was a beautiful “Dance The Night Away” banner that pulled it all together.
A framed signature drink menu was place at each end of the bar that matched the gold foiled napkins.
No Gatsby party would be complete without a lavish Champagne tower!
Custom printed cigar boxes were filled with cigars. The cigar girl strolled around the party offering cigars to everyone.
The cigars had custom bands that identified the various flavors as displayed on the underside of the box.
Everyone had a roaring good time!
